Blogmas Day 5! Happy Birthday Uncle Walt

Dear Walt Disney,

Happy Birthday Uncle Walt. You’re 115 here today, but in heaven I’m sure you don’t look a day older than 25. I’m sure you’re still animating up there and still pulling some strings in your Kingdoms from high above us.

I hope you’re meeting all of my loved ones up there-I have a feeling you are, because some pretty amazing things have happened lately. I feel so blessed and like you’re all working together up there to help me accomplish some pretty amazing things.

Without you, my childhood would be a lot less magical.

Without you, my aspirations and dreams would be very different.

Without you, I wouldn’t be as excited for my future as I am right now.

So, although a simple thank you will never do, that’s all I can say right now.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Walt Disney, for creating a world of magic and imagination. Thank you for teaching my the importance of wishing upon a star. Thank you for teaching me patience, kindness, and hard work. With those key lessons I’ve followed from you, my dreams are finally coming true.

“Laughter is timeless. Imagination has no age. And dreams are forever.” -Walt Disney

I can’t wait to make you proud,

The Pixie Dusted Princess

Blogmas Day 4! Night at the Ballet

I went to my local theatre’s performance of the Nutcracker tonight. It was B-E-A-UTIFUL.

This holiday ballet is a tradition that never, ever gets old.

I painted my nails all sparkly for the occasion and I dressed up all fancy. 🙂
I just love those kinds of occasions.

Honestly, tonight was magical. The very ending of the show had a picture of a castle, which I pointed out to my family. Then we all agreed that it looked just like Cinderella Castle. I got super emotional with how my life journey is going right now.

It was nice to be surrounded by family sharing one of our most cherished traditions together, because I don’t know if I’ll be in the same place next year at this time. I’m soaking up every moment with my family, every moment doing my favorite things in one of my favorite places, and trying my best to live in the moment. It is exhilarating and nerve-wracking at the same time to go through this holiday season while not knowing how just how my life is about to change in the New Year.

Seeing the Nutcracker this evening grounded me. I was encapsulated yet again by the story I’ve come to know and love. The sparkling tutus, the gorgeous scenery of dew drops and sugar plums, the laughter from the audience when the life-size animals waved their paws…. I felt like a child again. And this was the perfect time for me to feel so.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

May sugar plum fairies dance in your head…

Blogmas Day 3! I won a giveaway?!

Today I woke up and I was alerted to the fact that I WON AN INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY!

I am SO excited and happy. I enter giveaways only occasionally, but this is the first one I’ve ever won. I love this Instagram, and you should definitely check them out. They recently opened their Etsy shop and they’ll have lots of cool things up, just like the Dole Whip Cap.

I’ll be receiving my hat soon and I can’t wait to wear it to Disney next year! I’ll totally be stopping by Aloha Aisle in it, then riding the Jungle Cruise, Pirates, my typical Adventureland plant of action. I’ll just be looking a little more fashionable this time. 😉  If they lovely owners of the shop see this. THANK YOU GUYS! I really am thankful. ❤

I was hoping to write some more, but I’ve got finals prep to start on! Check back tomorrow for more Blogmas fun!

Blogmas Day 2! Friday Festivities

Today I woke up and found out that Aaron Carter DMed me on Twitter. So that was weird and exciting all at the same time.

That’s how I felt when I saw the DM. I can still vividly remember watching that episode when it first aired. I was totally jamming out to I want Candy and wishing I was Lizzie. Old Disney Channel was the best Disney Channel, and I even realized that as I watched it religiously every day when I was younger!

That’s not the only thing making me smile today. This weekend is filled with fun! Tonight is a holiday dance, then this weekend I’m going to a few holiday shows! I’m so excited! It’s going to be fun to celebrate the Christmas season with family and friends, especially when I’m in the midst of finals.

Tell me in the comments what you’re doing this weekend to celebrate the season! Watching Christmas movies in your PJs? Going out to a big party? I want to know!

Have safe and fun weekends,

The Pixie Dusted Princess

Blogmas Day 1! My Disney Store Wishlist

Happy Blogmas everyone! It’s the first day of December, which means it’s time for me to write a post EVERY SINGLE DAY up until Christmas! That’s right! Now through December 25th, I will be posting something every. single. day. I am SO busy this month with finals taking up the next two weeks, but this will be something I can look forward to each day. I hope you’ll follow along. 🙂

I love Vlogmas videos and who knows, if I do expand to YouTube one day, I’d love to do that. For now, I’m putting my own pixie dusted spin on Vlogmas, and doing Blogmas. 😀

For the first day of Blogmas, I’m sharing with you 5 Christmas wish list items I want from none other than the Disney store! However, instead of asking for these for Christmas, these would be items I’d love to have leading up to the holiday, because they’re all Christmas related. By the way, this isn’t sponsored, I just really love the Disney Store, as I’m sure many of you do. 😉

1.) Holiday T-shirt

I love Disney apparel, and this holiday specific shirt of Minnie and Mickey smooching under the mistletoe makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I’d love to wear this shirt around the parks with some white shorts on warmer winter days.

2.) Belle Ornament

My favorite bookworm in ornament form. There is nothing more perfect for my Christmas tree this year!

3.) Christmas Carol Plush

I absolutely LOVE limited edition holiday plush, and this set is so cute, I could cry just by looking at it.

4.) Dessert Plate

My family loves cute holiday specific dessert plates, and this one would be amazing for this season. I can totally picture putting out Santa’s milk and cookies on this.

5.) Princess Tree

Okay, Disney, did you make this tree just for me?! That’s how I felt when I saw it-it is so pixie dusted, pink, and just perfect. I am obsessed with this.

Check back tomorrow for Blogmas Day 2!

Happy 2 “Ears” to Me!

I’m celebrating a milestone on the blog today! 2 whole “Ears” of blogging on The Pixie Dusted Princess. °o°

This holiday season, I’m already feeling so thankful and blessed, and this blogiversary makes me feel all those things even more!

Today, I’ll share two of my favorite past posts for the 2 years I’ve been blogging.

First, THIS post about the beginning of a Disney vacation AKA the best time ever, is one of my favorites! It will get you in the mindset of a WDW vacation in a few minutes. If you’re preparing for your Disney vacation soon, read this and get in the zone! You know the one…counting down the days, getting on the plane, arriving off of the Magical Express. Aren’t you just giddy thinking about it? I know I am!

And another favorite is THIS post about that time I was casually (just kidding, not at all-I was so incredibly excited) selected with my family to be the Grand Marshals of the Share A Dream Come True Parade. My childhood was pretty amazing, thanks to Disney and this memory always stands out as an extra magical one.

Looking to the future, I cannot wait for what I have in store for this blog. It is a special corner of the internet where I can consistently talk Disney and positivity with so many amazing people. How amazing is that?!

In the New Year, I will *finally* have more time and many more resources to start turning this blog into what I’ve had for a vision for a long, long time. It will include so many more up to date pictures from the parks, food reviews, and other exciting series!

One chapter is closing soon, and the most magical chapter yet is beginning shortly!

I hope you’ll all stay tuned to turn these pixie dusted pages with me.

Forever grateful,

The Pixie Dusted Princess

Feeling Thankful Already

Hello pixie dusted people!

I have been so consumed with school and work that I have let my blog fall to the wayside! Never fear, I’m still here-that rhymes. 😉 I am always on Twitter and Instagram and I think about my followers often 🙂 For now, I finally have a free moment to update you all on life.

Exciting things are happening and I am counting down the days until the new year. I’m excited for my biggest opportunity and dream come true yet. I’ll be able to fully update you around the turn of the upcoming New Year. The holidays are most important right now, because I’m trying to spend as much time with my family and friends as possible, before this huge transition in my life! 🙂

Who’s starting to get EXCITED about Thanksgiving? I know I am! I’ve even been preparing myself by eating a Holiday Turkey Sandwich from EOS. My favorite! Yum.

About a week out from Thanksgiving, I’m already feeling so thankful and blessed. This year started out with lots of hard work and that was a theme for the entire year. But with hard work and determination came results, so in just a few months I can finally live out some of my biggest and boldest dreams.

“You gotta make it happen, it all depends on you. So I work real hard each and every day, now things for sure are going my way”-wise and true words from Princess Tiana-I love her story and her words have stuck by me this entire year.

I promise you, if you have something you REALLY want, you’ll find a way to make it happen. I’m proof. 🙂

I was able to travel a lot this year, which I’m so grateful for. These experiences have allowed me discover more about myself through my interactions with others who have different backgrounds and ways of life. I think I’ve realized that I will always have a huge amount of empathy in my heart for people and their circumstances, and that overall, kindness really never goes out of style. Also, I’ve learned that you can make friends and such beautiful connection with a smile. Such simple lessons, with such great impacts.

Although I won’t be at Disney for the holidays, I’ll be there soon enough, so I’m totally okay with that. For now I’ll be reminiscing on time spent at WDW during them, because it is so gorgeous all dolled up for Christmas. I’ll be posting so many pictures from past years, because some throwbacks and way-way backs are my favorite. They give me warm and fuzzy memories, that make this time of the year so special.

That’s all for now from me. Let me know in the comments what holiday you’re most looking forward to! Or just list your favorite type of pie-why? Because pie is amazing and soon, we’ll be eating a lot of it. 😉
